Hello Family and Friends,
On November 13, 2011, the love of my life and the most amazing father in the world went to Heaven to be with his Savior. I have heard this phrase from so many of you..."There are no words." My children and I appreciate not only your posts, phone calls, emails, prayers, and apologies, but also the outpouring of love we have received these past three weeks of recovering from our motorcycle accident. The overwhelming (In a wonderful way, that is!) response we have received from our families, friends, church family, workplaces, and our community since the accident and Bret's passing (Or as I am referring to it, his appointment with God.) have been nothing short of miraculous. From the food, to the handling of everything related to our jobs, to the telling my children and I not to worry about anything, that it will be taken care of, to the home visits and the nearly 50 people descending upon the Tehachapi Hospital when they received the calls and the texts that Bret had died there, we are grateful, humbled, and truly blown away by you wonderful, wonderful people.
It has touched us so deeply to find out from you that you all loved him as much as we did, and that he had the kind of impact on your lives that he had on ours. So let me say back to all of you..."There are no words..." because your love and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ are what will get our family through this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We will be posting the memorial service details as soon as we know them, and Bret's obituary with those details will be in next week's Tehachapi News. One thing we would love to hear about from you is memories of Bret on either Denise Trone's Facebook page, or Deanna Trone's Facebook page, or Fading Out Silence's Facebook page (That is my son's website, which is the name of his and his sister's and friends' band). All of your visits and stories are healing us a little at a time! We love you, and God bless you for your love towards us.
Let me leave you with a thought about what my husband was all about. He received Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of thirteen, and he began to learn at an early age from his parents, Mac and Eileen Trone, about living a Godly life and caring for others. All of you have witnessed this first hand by just being around him. The reason that you felt that love and care from him was because he was transferring the love of God back to you. That is how God's love works. He places it into our hearts when we become His children, and then He asks us to give it back to others, so they will want to become His children, too. This is THE turnkey that defined Bret Wayne Trone, Captain Trone, Trone, Bret, or whatever name you referred to him as. He was and is God's son, and now he is standing in the presence of The Lord, living these words that he spoke to God on that day so long ago, when he accepted Christ as his Savior, when he was thirteen years old, "Take this heart of mine, there's no doubt, I'm in better hands now!"
